This exclusive & private range is approx. 40 yards for handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Located east of Bastrop 15 minutes (Paige TX).
We can accommodate 9 shooters safely shooting at paper target.

HG-1 HANDGUN FUNDAMENTALS
This Course Is A Great First Step In Building Your Foundation For Safe Handling And Operation Of Semi-Automatic Pistols And Revolvers. Our instructors will evaluate each student and tailor their class to meet the needs of each student. This course is perfect for novices looking for an introduction to the safe operation to various firearms and prepare them for accelerated version of these classes.
HG-1 COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
- Students will have an understanding of and be able to describe basic firearm safety.
- Safely handling handguns
- 4 firearm safety rules
- How to talk to your kids about gun safety
- Range rules & etiquette
- Students will have a basic understanding of the operation of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers, to include:
- Component identification
- Care and cleaning
- Loading/unloading and clearing.
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Ammunition Types

HG-2 INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN SKILLS
HG-2 COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
- Students will have an understanding of and describe basic firearm safety.
- Presentation of the handgun from the holster to the target and safely back to the holster.
- Review and reinforcement of shooting basics – the importance of proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture, stance, trigger control, and follow through
- Sight picture and its relationship to size and distance
- Reloading techniques
- Malfunction clearance procedures
- Introduction to shooting from the kneeling position
Prerequisite:
We strongly recommend HG-1, Basic Handgun or equivalent before you attend Intermediate Handgun Skills. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.
$200 for civilians / $180 for first responders, LE and active military. Classes are 4 hours long.

HG-3 DEFENSIVE HANDGUN SKILLS
This Course Is For The Student Who Is Comfortable Handling Their Firearm, But Are Ready To Push Themselves And Actually Learn To Use The Pistol As Intended; To Defend Themselves Or Their Loved Ones.
Students will also be exposed to reflexive shooting techniques, using their natural point of aim and target focused techniques to engage targets quickly and accurately.
HG-3 COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
· Firearm Safety – Responsible firearms ownership and defensive applications of the pistol
· Mindset – Mental Preparation for the Fight
· Marksmanship fundamentals as they apply to defensive shooting
· Introduction to moving and shooting
· Engaging multiple targets; different sizes and distances
· Introduction to Close Quarter shooting techniques
· Understanding the use of a shot timer in training

MSR-2 INTERMEDIATE RIFLE SKILLS
Continuing To Build On Our Foundation and Keeping With Our Performance Based Coaching, This Course Takes Students Through The Next Steps in Learning How to Be Proficient and Deliberate in The Use of Their Firearm in Any Given Situation.
MSR-2 COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
- Students will have an understanding of and describe basic firearm safety.
- Presentation of the rifle from various ready positions to and from the target.
- Review and reinforcement of shooting basics – the importance of proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture, stance, trigger control, and follow through.
- Sight picture and its relationship to size and distance.
- Reloading techniques.
- Malfunction clearance procedures.
- Introduction to shooting from the kneeling position.
- How to use a sling for more than carrying your rifle.
Prerequisite:
We strongly recommend MSR-1, Basic Rifle/Carbine or equivalent before you attend Intermediate Rifle Skills. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a rifle.

Youth Private Classes
CROSSHAIRS TEXAS is offering PRIVATE & SEMI PRIVATE YOUTH HANDGUN & RIFLE CLASSES. These classes will start out in the classroom and include going to our private outdoor range where students and their parents will receive hands on experience with our Director of Training at Crosshairs Texas, Crystal Duke Ouzilou.
Our instructors will evaluate each student and tailor their class to meet the needs of each student. This course is perfect for novices looking for an introduction to the safe operation to various firearms and advanced students will have the accelerated version of these classes. Participants will learn how to properly handle, store, and clean a firearm, how ammunition works, how to identify different types of firearms and actions, and how to safely unload a firearm. In addition, advanced students will learn defensive skills, loading & stoppage remediation drills and more.
This class is for students ages 12 to 18 with little or no experience handling firearms.
Students will be taught fundamentals including four firearms safety steps, parts of the gun, how they operate and the basic components to shooting. Much time will be spent in the classroom to ensure safety & proper skills before students go out to the private shooting range with parents and instructor live fire training.
Participants will learn how to properly handle, store a firearm, how ammunition works, how to identify different types of firearms and actions, and how to safely unload a firearm.
