Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in setting a reasonable price that is in line with the overall value of the gun and any included accessories (magazines, original box, optics, owner’s manual, etc.) We will discuss what you have, possible price ranges, and whether we think we can do a good job selling them for you.

If we agree that we are a good match for your needs, make arrangements to drop off the items, or ship the firearm(s)to us by insured UPS.

Since customers are buying from us, our reputation is on the line. We will describe items to the best of our knowledge and belief, and will not misrepresent items for a seller. We will not take items on consignment at prices that we think are unrealistic or unfair to the buyer.

We normally contract for a consignment period of 60 days to sell your items. This allows time to research them properly, advertise them in catalogs or by other means, and offer them at appropriate collector’s shows. This also allows time to drop the price to the minimum level if unsuccessful selling at a higher starting price. In our experience about 80-90% of properly priced items will sell in that period.
HOW ARE CONSIGNMENT PROGRAM WORKS…AT CROSSHAIRS TEXAS
At Crosshairs Texas, you have the opportunity to sell your used firearms without having to create descriptions, without lengthy research of the current market, design advertising, and “interview” all the potential buyers. We do that all for you!
- We text & email our current pre-owned inventory weekly. These items move FAST and this is the best way to get your firearm sold for the most money!

70/30 Basic Consignment: Seller receives 70% (CHECK) of what the firearm’s final sale price is, less any possible gunsmithing charges in the form of a check.
70/30 Premium Consignment: Seller receives 70% (CHECK) of what the firearm’s final sale price is, less any possible gunsmithing charges and less the Premium Appraisal Fees (if seller chooses Premium) in the form of a check.
80/20 Basic Consignment: Seller receives 80% (CREDIT) of what the firearm’s final sale price is, less any possible gunsmithing charges as credit on their account for purchases within the store.
80/20 Premium Consignment: Seller receives 80% (CREDIT) of what the firearm’s final sale price is, less any possible gunsmithing charges and less the Premium Appraisal Fees (if seller chooses Premium) as credit on their account for purchases within the store.

After thorough investigation and evaluation of your firearm, we will:
- Help you decide the BEST price, so YOU get the most when it sells!
- Includes complete description of firearm & accessories with retail prices advertised in our store 6 days a week for a minimum of 60 days.
- Includes Copy of National Gun Values.

- When your item is sold (customer has paid for it, it has been delivered, and the three-day inspection period is over) we will begin the credit process to your account at Crosshairs Texas for the sales price less the commission. Our normal commission rate is 20 to 30 % of the actual selling price. (less any gunsmithing charges & appraisal fees)
- Remember, there is no charge until your item sells. Give us an opportunity to help recycle those items for another collector to enjoy!
- Once a price has been set for your firearm, you will need to agree to our Terms of Consignment and sign a receipt to transfer the firearm to us so we can put it on display as a consignment sale. We will put your firearm out on display at our store and work to sell it for you.
- Once we have a buyer, we will require the buyer to fill out all the usual paperwork just like purchasing a new firearm. So, you can rest assured that whoever purchases your firearm is doing so within the law.
- After the sale has been finalized, we will contact you to deliver payment. (usually takes 30-45 days)
- ANY firearm left in our inventory at the end of the year from December 31 to January of the next year will be charged storage fees due to the taxes Crosshairs will be charged for the item.
BASIC CONSIGNMENT APPRAISAL:
THIS APPRAISAL WILL NOT BE PHOTOGRAPHED AND WILL NOT BE LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE OR ANY ADVERTISING BY CROSSHAIRS TEXAS. (NO CHARGE IF THE FIREARM IS CONSIGNED WITH CROSSHAIRS TEXAS).
- We include a KBB (Kelly Blue Book Style) VIA BLUE BOOK GUN VALUES.COM-MARKET APPRAISAL VALUES: $100 for NO CHARGE and only $49.99 if you decide to not consign with Crosshairs Texas.

- We are responsible for the security and safety of your items while in our possession and will give them the same secure storage as our own inventory, covered by insurance for the consigned value.
- We will gladly provide contact information of previous consignment customers as references.
