Devon Rose Michalik 2016 – 2022

Devon is co-owner of Crosshairs Texas and began her journey to become a firearms instructor when she became an NRA Pistol Instructor in 2016. From there her training and certifications grew when she attended the Texas DPS LTC and TPWD Classes in 2017 and 2018. Devon’s background in training horses from 1992 – 2013 (not to mention she’s a champion and world title holder in APHA, AQHA, & NSBA) gives her a unique perspective and a great amount of experience in the art of instructing and coaching. Since 2017, Devon has trained over 1350 students at Crosshairs!

Troy Michalik 1992 – 2022

Troy is the other co-owner of Crosshairs Texas and has been gunsmithing for over 20 years and instructing for 10 years. Troy offers a combined 30 years of experience to students that take classes from him. Troy will always ensure that your class and range experience goes smoothly and seamlessly.

Troy has the following training an instructor credentials.

  • NRA Basic Pistol Instructor
  • 65 hours of Professional Development by nationally ranked firearm instructors.


Doug Greig 2014 – 2022

Doug came to Crosshairs in Dec of 2021 after leaving a position as the trainer for a national private security company. Doug served 24 years total in both the active Army and National Guard during which he participated in multiple combat deployments. He was awarded the Combat Action Badge and Purple Heart while serving as a military policeman during his last deployment in 2004. After retiring in 2013, Doug spent 3 years training at Sig Sauer Academy in NH and then another few years traveling across the US seeking training from nationally ranked instructors. Doug’s approach to working with students is more about coaching & mentoring and helping students work at their pace in an unintimidating atmosphere. Doug believes it his mission as an instructor is “To train and coach people of all skill levels to be proficient and deliberate in the care and use of their firearm in any given situation”.
