YOUTH FIREARM 1

Prerequisite: Safety Class

Basic Youth Gun Safety is a 3-hour, family-oriented class for children ages 7-18. Students are taught firearms safety and are introduced to various shooting sports and activities.

The Youth Firearm 1 Class is a fundamental class for children ages 7-18.  During this class, students will learn the parts of firearms and ammunition and how they operate.  Each student will learn load and unload, transport and carry firearms.  They will master the basic shooting skills that include how to hold, aim and fire 22LR revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Shooting range ethics and manners will be shown by all that attend this class and each student must show positive and consistent safety behaviors in order to graduate.

Requirements to pass Youth Firearm 1 includes a proficiency written test and shooting test that looks for self-control and safety above all else.

The Basic Youth Gun Safety course is taught in a way and in language kids can easily understand. Class sizes are limited to six students to create the opportunity for more personalized instruction.

• Children ages 7-18, *must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Note – *Lunch, dinner and snacks are not available- please plan accordingly.

Cancellation Policy – Students who cancel or re-schedule a minimum of 72 hours prior to the start of a class will receive a full refund or credit applied toward future classes. Students who cancel or re-schedule less than 72 hours in advance or “No-Shows” will result in forfeiture of 50% of payments and fees. Crosshairs Texas reserves the right to cancel any course offered due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, all students will receive a full refund or credit applied to another class.
