4. CLEANING AND STORING OF FIREARMS
5. Responsible firearms ownership and applications of the handgun
6. Firearms safety for the home, workplace, and vehicle
7. Safety concerns and practices while training and while carrying a firearm
8. Safe use and handling of firearms (semi auto & revolver)
9. Locking devices and techniques for firearms to prevent unauthorized access
10. Potential dangers (penetration, ricochet, misidentification, accidental discharges, etc.)
11. Ready positions
12. Components and operation of modern pistols and revolvers
13. Types, components, and purposes of modern ammunition
14. Applicable laws relating to the possession, transportation, and storage of firearms
15. General guidelines on interstate travel with firearms
16. Administrative loading and unloading of pistols and revolvers
17. Fundamentals of basic shooting techniques
18. Preventative maintenance (cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and safe storage)
19. This course will be held at our private outdoor range in Bastrop County.

Required Equipment
 Please wear long pants with pockets, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neck lines)
 Tuition includes free loan of firearms, holsters, safety glasses and hearing protection
