IMPORTANT
This FREE introductory seminar does NOT satisfy the training requirements to obtain a Texas License to Carry and does not constitute completion of any portion of the required LTC course.
Students wishing to obtain their LTC must separately complete all applicable Texas requirements.
Class Description – Introduction to Texas LTC
Thinking about getting your Texas License to Carry but aren’t sure where to begin?
Start here.
This class gives prospective LTC students an introduction to the process and helps answer the questions we hear every week at Crosshairs Texas.
Students will learn about:
• What a Texas License to Carry is
• The general LTC process
• What to expect from the official LTC class
• Classroom and training expectations
• What to expect during the handgun proficiency portion
• Equipment and supplies
• How to prepare before attending
• Common questions and misconceptions
• Training you may need before taking your LTC class
One of the most important things prospective students need to understand is that the LTC course is not intended to be your first handgun lesson.
If you are uncomfortable safely handling, loading, unloading or operating your handgun, we’ll help you identify the training you should take first.
Upon Completion
Students should understand the general Texas LTC training pathway, what to expect when attending an LTC course, how to prepare and whether additional handgun instruction would be beneficial before enrolling.
